Ten Thousand Villages in Ephrata, PA, the first and largest store in the Ten Thousand Villages network, offers exquisite fairly traded home decor, gifts and personal accessories reflecting the traditions and cultures of artisans from the developing world.  Our spacious store includes the Oriental Rug Gallery and The Café @ Ten Thousand Villages.  See our calendar for live music performances on Friday evenings and other special shopping events.

Ten Thousand Villages Ephrata recently won acclaim through the Lancaster Newspapers 9th Annual Reader's Choice Awards, receiving first place for Favorite Gift Shop and second place for Artistic Jewelry. 

We are home to the Oriental Rug Gallery which carries hand-knotted, heirloom quality Oriental rugs made by fairly paid adults in Pakistan. You will find more than 2000 rugs in sizes from 2x3 to 10x14. The Café
@ Ten Thousand Villages

  • We feature a fair trade espresso bar, fair trade coffees and teas and other specialty drinks along with fresh, delicious soups, salads, quiches, wraps, panini and desserts. WiFi access is available, and outdoor seating in season.  
  • Check our weekly menu for November 16 through 21. 
  • We offer live music every Friday evening. See listings on the events pages.  
  • Volunteer Help Needed to staff the Café.  We are looking for energetic persons who enjoy interacting with customers to be part of the "front" staff in the Cafe.  Duties include taking orders, ringing up sales, making espresso drinks, and serving tables. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. one day per week.  Retail or food service is desirable, but not required.
