Jake Lewis in The Cafe @ Ten Thousand Villages

Tonight we welcome Jake Lewis to the Café stage.

Jake Lewis’ love for music came on all at once, in high school.  One could find him drumming in a hardcore band, harmonizing in one of several a capella groups, or leading solemn church music.  But it was during an 18-month hiatus in Oklahoma that he wrote his first song, and never went back to other kinds of music.

Jake did, however, travel on home to Pennsylvania, where he released his first album, Location, Location to an ovation of praise.  The Gettysburg Times said of the album that it “comes on like a headwind,”  while the Public Opinion glorified the “travel theme, and the emotions within it [that] drive through each track.” Lewis’ recently released EP, We Can Get Out of Here boasts a stronger emotional journey than ever before.

Jake plays regularly in Frederick, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.  He lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with his wife.
